Willem Harmense Barkeloo
           (1666-1738) 
Willem was the son of Harman Janse Lubberdinck van Borculo who immigrated to America in 1662.

Records show that Willem was born in New Utrecht (Brooklyn) in 1666. He married Maria Corteljou in 1697 and lived on land that was part of the her father's estate.

​Willem was a farmer and New Utrecht town assessor in 1714 and 1721. 

He died at the age of 59. Although his grave site is unknown he may have been buried in the Barkeloo Family Cemetery in Brooklyn.
