          Willem Janse Lubberdinck Van Borculo
                               (1621-1683)
Willem and his brother Harman were the first of our family to settle in America.

He arrived in New Amsterdam (today Manhattan) around 1657. Harman arrived later in 1662.

Soon after his arrival Willem met Cornelia Van Salee and they were married in 1658.

After Cornelia died in 1665 Willem was married again to Leysebet (Elizabeth) Jansen

Records show that Willem relocated to the farming community of Flatlands which is now part of Brooklyn.

Willem died in  1683 at the approximate age of 62.
